Blind Paintings (only using memories).
With this series of paintings I wanted to explore my subconscious.
I drew the subjects with my eyes closed, simply using the power of my mind and the ability to remember shapes and proportions. It was very therapeutic for me, cause when you don’t see what you’re drawing you are totally free. There’s no judgment on your own work. I really enjoyed it.
After drawing the basic subject blinded, I open my eyes and I put the colors with open eyes, trying to be as much accurate as I can. This strong contrast between precision and randomness is so fun and profound at the same time.
